Bing Haus is a charming cafe set on Convoy St good for work earlier in the day, but not so much during evening hours.

Convoy St. is known for its dessert cafes, and Bing Haus ranks high on the list for a dessert cafe that you can actually get work done in. Most cafes on this street open very late, and Bing Haus is one of the few that opens up at 9AM. Like all of Convoy St, parking is pretty sparse with only a few spots being available if you arrive at opening hours. If you’re to work out of this cafe, I’d highly recommend arriving at 9AM and putting a few hours in. Otherwise, you’ll be struggling to find parking after noon and the cafe will be decently packed.

The interior is very charming with large windows that let a ton of light in, plants everywhere, and even a small area where you can shop for greeting cards and clothing. In terms of coffee, they have an espresso machine so your typical drinks are available here all appropriately priced. They also have milk teas, iced tea, and hot tea. In terms of food, you’re working with desserts like rolled ice cream and donuts. I noticed that most people primarily come in for these items, mainly for the opportunity to snap a photo for their many social media followers.

Even I can’t help myself

Seating is limited with about 6 tables total, 4 seats to each table. There are 3 outlets available to charge your devices, but only at the tables against the wall. In terms of other amenities, the bathroom is really spacious, clean, and always stocked. The cafe had their air conditioning running on the day I came which was particularly hot so that is another bonus. The only downsides that I found while working out of the cafe is that they enjoy turning up the k-pop jams. If you’re easily distracted by noise, it might not be a fit but if you find yourself energized by the sweet sounds of Korea’s own IU – you’ll be in good company.

Definitely check out Bing Haus if you’re looking to get a few hours of work done earlier in the day. For those looking for more of a late night study session, I’d look to other cafes in the area like Tea & More.
